John Meagher

Preservation and Impact Investments
John oversees the underwriting and closing process for Boston Financial’s preservation investments. He joined Boston Financial in 2025 and has over 22 years of commercial real estate business with extensive investment, capital markets, and asset management experience.
Prior to joining Boston Financial, John spent the last five years at two Boston based real estate sponsors, Shorelight Real Estate and Rhino Capital Advisors, where he helped run the investment and capital markets teams at both firms. In addition, John spent 12 years at The Roseview Group in Boston, working as a key member of the company’s national capital markets platform and directly assisting clients in closing over $750 million in equity capitalizations, acquisitions, and dispositions. Prior to Roseview, he worked at Morgan Stanley Real Estate as a member of the San Francisco based asset management team that managed a $6 billion portfolio, consisting of multifamily, office, industrial, and retail assets located across all primary West Coast markets. During his career he has been a member of various industry groups, including PREA, REFA, and NAIOP.
John grew up in the Boston area and attended Trinity College in Connecticut.
